Amanda Quiring is an artist exploring themes of human/nature communication, surveillance and patriarchal oppression and is forever searching for ways to tap into a shared history through personal reveal-ation. This is accomplished through painting, printmaking, digital video and audio production and land-related art. She believes in the transformative power of language in art and of screaming. She is currently a student in the Intermedia MFA program and an instructor in the communication department at the University of Maine.
